Made from polyoxymethylene (POM), these replacement plates are used to modify the sound and feel of your keyboard.
1.5 - 1.6mm thick
Has underside notches to ensure switch latch engagement
Includes gaskets and standoffs.
Please note that due to the manufacturing process, POM does not have a protective film applied. Because of this POM almost always contains surface imperfections such as light scratches. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do to prevent this; however, the integrity of the plate is not affected at all.
Some Manufacturers also include batch numbers in POM sheets on one side. When we create our plates, we ensure that all batch lettering will be facing down on the finished product.

I love the Keychron Q12s- so much so that I own three of them. After trying out their official brass, aluminum and PC plates I've been looking to what else I could do to improve the sound and typing feel. This POM plate was cut perfectly, easy to install, and paired with their foam kit this is definitely my favorite Q12 build I've done so far. It sounds fantastic, and gets a lot of compliments around the office. Thank you so much!

I paired the POM plate with the poron foam kit and Q12 now sounds a lot better than the default steel (?) plate configuration. The plate was cut nicely and installation was a breeze.

Much softer and more flexible than the steel plate that comes with the Q12 leading to a more muted thump, greater flex with the gaskets and less pinging sound on bottom outs. Build quality is decent however I noticed an issue where the mounting screw at the spacebar was actually directly underneath where the space bar would hit the plate making me hesitant to install the mounting screw and accompanying washer as it may damage my keycap over time. This may have just been a one off issue with mine but there is a spot cut out for the mounting screw included on the case and the plate hole was not lined up with this (see image below).
Any scratches on the plate will not be seen as shown in the image.

I purchased this POM plate to replace the steel plate that comes with the Keychron Q12.
The purchasing was easy and the shipping was quick. It was decently packaged and came with the adaptable mounting screws. As they mentioned in the disclaimer, the POM plate will have some scratches, but once the keyboard is fully assembled, you don't notice the scratches.
I also purchased the Keyboard Kustoms PE foam for the Keychron Q12 and that fit phenomenally well. When putting everything together, I did have to push down a bit to have the POM plate push down onto the Durock v2 stabilizers I used.
As someone fairly new to the hobby, my only wish is that the plate came with basic instructions on installing a new plate with different mounting brackets. I had to look up a video from Keychron on installing a new plate, so not a big deal, but would have been a convenience.
My build included several mods and with this POM plate, the whole keyboard just pops! Overall, this plate adds a great sound profile and I highly recommend purchasing this one as it's perfectly cut for the Q12.
