POM Plate for Keychron Q1/Q1 Pro/Q1 MAX

Made from acetal copolymer, also known as polyoxymethylene (POM)

POM plates replace the stock plate the board ships with and is used to alter the sound and feel of your board. POM plates provide a more flexible typing experience while lowering the pitch of the switch presses.

Important POM Information

Due to the manufacturing process, POM does not have a protective film applied. Because of this POM almost always contains surface imperfections such as light scratches. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do to prevent this; however, the integrity of the plate is not affected at all.

Some Manufacturers also include batch numbers in POM sheets on one side. When we create our plates, we ensure that all batch lettering will be facing down on the finished product.

Amazing products with great service to boot

I ordered the POM plate a year along with the foams and loved the new sound signature. However, due to my own mistakes, I must have misplaced the standoffs that come included with the POM plate. As a result, I had issues actuating some keys due to standoffs not securing the PCB to the plate. I emailed Keyboard Kustoms about this, and they offered to send me an entirely new plate foam (due to the one I originally bought being thicker and not as compatible with the PE foam) and also standoffs free of charge!

Please consider buying their products (which are great as well) and supporting this amazing company!

Fantastic

Great fit and finish. Sound is fantastic as expected with POM - very nice to have the option. One piece that could use improvement is the stand-offs. It’s nice to have them be removable to choose where to have them and where to let the board flex more, but the bolts protruding through sometimes get hit by the keycaps on the downstroke. I put a bit of tape over them which fixed the issue though, so not a dealbreaker.
