POM Plate for Keychron K8

Made from polyoxymethylene (POM), these replacement plates are used to modify the sound and feel of your keyboard.

1-5 - 1.6mm thick

Has underside notches to ensure switch latch engagement

Please note that due to the manufacturing process, POM does not have a protective film applied. Because of this POM almost always contains surface imperfections such as light scratches. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do to prevent this; however, the integrity of the plate is not affected at all.

Some Manufacturers also include batch numbers in POM sheets on one side. When we create our plates, we ensure that all batch lettering will be facing down on the finished product.

Very nice POM plate

I already had their POM plate for my Keychron Q3 which i liked very much.

When building new keyboards for my sister and dad we went with K8. ordered three Keyboard Kustoms Poron Foam kits and also this POM plate for their builds.

For my sister's i used the white POM which is actually very beautiful. The really accentuates the RGB coloring very nicely too.

For my dad's i went with the black plate.

I decided to modify the plates by counter sinking the screw holes in the plate so that the screws would rest fully flush with the plate.

I also dremmel trimmed just a fraction of material on an edge corner of the spacebar where the stabalizers snap in. Otherwise the plate wouldn't accommodate flush fitment of the Durok stabilizers against the plate causing the bar not being parallel and therefore spacebar would stick when pressed. Just a tiny smidgen of material removed to make the stabalizer housing to snap into place correctly. This little modification wasn't needed for the other stabalizers holes because the little tabs arms of the plates in those areas flexed enough for the Durok housings to snap in flush with the plate correctly.

Awesome product, awesome service!

Upgraded both my K2 and K8 with Keyboard Kustoms PE foam, poron kit, and POM plate, and the results were incredible. Beautiful, quiet marbled thock sound and terrific feel. It is now such a joy to type on these two boards! The KK upgrades are wonderful products and I highly recommend them. Also, I messed up the case foam install (wasn't supposed to cut it) on my K8, and Rob sent me a free replacement! Wonderful, friendly service. At this point, when I think about buying a new board, one of the first things I check is whether Keyboard Kustoms makes upgrades for it. Thanks KK for changing my typing life!
